He began his professional career first in research in the area of selection of Portuguese grape varieties and then in oenology in the Piedmont region (Italy). He joined Bacalhôa in 1989, having worked in the viticulture sector, in new products and in the oenology departments of the Alentejo and Lisbon regions. He was co-author of the books “Comer e bebe com Eça de Queiroz” and “Vinhos da Península de Setúbal”. Since 2007, he has assumed the position of Oenology Coordinator of Grupo Bacalhôa when the companies Aliança Vinhos de Portugal and Sociedade Agrícola da Quinta do Carmo were integrated.
